My Entryway Refresh with Wow 1 Day Painting Lexington
My entryway is FINALLY the color that it was meant to be, thanks to @wow1daypainting_lexington! I have always meant to paint the trim and walls in here since I took on this project in 2021 for the One Room Challenge (check it out here!), but it was one of those things that just never happened!
Summer Story Hour at The Amsden!
Join us for our Spring Story Hour at the Amsden! Each week Emily will read one of her favorite children's books, and then we'll do a related activity or craft together after.
This event is free and open to the public, but books and activities are geared toward preschool age!
We will also be collecting donations for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
DIY Handpainted Tile Backsplash
I custom hand-painted and installed my own tile backsplash for the One Room Challenge this year, and here is exactly how I did it!
This was, shockingly, the easiest and smoothest DIY I took on for the pantry project. I hand-painted all the tiles Tuesday night, baked them Wednesday morning, and installed them Wednesday night (this project had to be done by Thursday morning, so I was definitely cutting it close, but I got it done!) I followed @athomewithashley’s tutorial for painted tiles, and it worked perfectly!
ORC Pantry Makeover- Week 8: Final Reveal of my Dream Vintage Cottage Pantry Makeover
The big reveal is finally here and I still can’t believe that we pulled this off in time! This space encompasses ME possibly more than any other room I’ve ever designed. In the midst of a challenging personal week, when I could’ve easily thrown in the towel, I threw all my emotion and energy into this space, and I think you can see that in every corner and detail. Not to mention, for the second time I failed to realize we were leaving on vacation in the middle of the final reveal week, cutting my time short (also did this with my playroom makeover on my first round in 2020!). Despite all that, we have a finished space that I am so proud of!
ORC Pantry Makeover- Week 7: Tablecloth Cabinet, Wallpapering Marathon, and Panic!
The final week of this year’s One Room Challenge is here and panic is starting to set in! I feel like I am more behind than I have ever been before, and it will truly be an impressive feat if I get this space completely done! This week has consisted of SO much work- painting, sanding, caulking, wallpapering, building, and more! Let’s talk about the tablecloth cabinet we’re building on one of the front walls!
The Amsden's 5th Annual Rummage Sale + Downtown Versailles Sidewalk Sale!
Join us for our 5th annual Rummage Sale outside the Amsden! Friends, family, and vendors of the Amsden will be set up and selling a variety of used clothing (all sizes, brands, and types!), accessories, housewares, furniture, decor, liquidated store merchandise, children's and baby items, and MORE! Payment methods accepted may vary from vendor to vendor- most vendors will be set up to accept cash, card, or Venmo!
This event is free and open to the public!
ORC Pantry Makeover- Week 6: Fabric Selections
This week it’s all about the fabrics! I have been narrowing down options for the cabinet curtains and window cafe curtains. Shown below are some combinations I’ve put together with the wallpaper we are using in the space. The wallpaper and cabinet curtain will be on the same wall, but window curtains a little further away for reference. I originally was thinking of doing the same fabric for both but then found so many great options, I decided to mix it up!
