ORC Pantry Makeover- Week 7: Tablecloth Cabinet, Wallpapering Marathon, and Panic!

The final week of this year’s One Room Challenge is here and panic is starting to set in! I feel like I am more behind than I have ever been before, and it will truly be an impressive feat if I get this space completely done! This week has consisted of SO much work- painting, sanding, caulking, wallpapering, building, and more! Let’s talk about the tablecloth cabinet we’re building on one of the front walls!
If you’ve been following along in stories, you’ve heard about my tablecloth storage saga. I currently have over 40 tablecloths and the folding method is just not working to keep them neat and organized anymore! I wanted to figure out a solution for hanging them somewhere in this space for easier organization and so that I can see them better. We had basically only a couple of small walls left to use so I opted for one of the front walls and Alex is building a floor to ceiling cabinet (really a small closet) that we will add hanging hardware inside to hold all the tablecloths.
My vision for this cabinet was to wallpaper it completely all along so that it blends into the wall and isn’t an obvious cabinet. This weekend I finished wallpapering it and the rest of the wall and I love how it has turned out! I still need to do some small touch-ups but I’m so excited for this new storage option! Take a look at how it’s coming along below!
I am so excited to start hanging and organizing all the tablecloths inside next! But first, I need to paint the inside so it looks for finished and complete (more painting, yay)! I am also starting to wallpaper the side cabinets which have been painted and trimmed out this week as well (and they look SO much better with the finish trim!). You won’t be seeing those yet though because the cabinet color is going to be a surprise next week for the final reveal! The back wall is also coming along with shelving going in this weekend, countertops, and finishing touches on the cabinet paint and hardware.
Just a few more days until the BIG reveal! I can’t wait to show you my brand new pantry!
