Shop the Design: Crisp, Modern, + Neutral Bedroom Design {McGee and Co. Look for Less}
One of my biggest design inspirations that I love to follow is Mcgee and Co. / Studio Mcgee. I love the simplicity and timeless feel of all their designs- super crisp and clean but also so warm. Recently I pulled together this design board for a client’s guest bedroom that reminded me of their designs, but definitely using more budget friendly pieces! I wanted to share this in case you might be looking to duplicate the same kind of high-end look for less! I shared shopping links to everything I used (and some extra similar items) below!

One Room Challenge: Playroom Makeover - FINAL REVEAL!
I can’t believe week 8 is already here and that somehow I got this playroom DONE! I must admit, I took on a few too many DIY projects with this one but I also had so much FUN each step of the way. I learned a lot and we now have an amazing playroom for JW that I know he will enjoy for many, many years to come. Not to mention, my husband and I love this space so much that we have even been hanging out in here after he’s already asleep at night! If you’ve been following me on social media, you’ve likely already seen some after photos of the space but this post will be a complete round up of every project, every item linked to shop, and overall my design process for the entire space!
How To Deep Clean Your Porches + Patios to Keep Them Clean + Fresh All Summer
I have been meaning to share my patio cleaning tips and tricks with you all over the past couple of years and finally got the chance to share while in the process! I wanted to share my deep-cleaning tips with you all since I had so many questions about how I clean my porch and keep it looking nice thorughout the summer. I really want this space to feel like an extension of our home and as much like a truly living space as possible but that means I have to work extra hard to keep it clean, free of bugs, and looking fresh!
The Most Extra Italian Pasta Salad
Go ahead and file this one under my favorite summer recipes- it’s that good! Pasta salad is one of my favorite summer dishes and I especially love Italian ingredients in pasta salad. I started out wanting to make a basic summer Italian pasta salad but just kept finding more and more ingredients I wanted to add! I decided to just throw every possible favorite ingredient I could think of into one super extra Italian pasta salad. It has a little bit of everything- crispy pancetta, salami, pepperoni, toasty pine nuts, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, fresh arugula and tomatoes, feta AND mozzarella cheese, and a perfectly light and tangy lemony oil and vinegar dressing. I also used two different varieties of pasta to add even more texture and surprise to each bite! Find the full list of ingredients and instructions below!
One Room Challenge: Playroom Makeover Week 7 Update: Music Corner
Week 7 is wrapping up and although you may not be able to tell from these photos, the rest of the room is a disaster zone! I’ve got about a million projects going on and one more week to finish them all up! I can’t believe how quickly the past 7 weeks have flown by! This week I completed this little music corner centered around the piano.
DIY Mini Summer Cheeseboards
How fun are these single serving summer charcuterie boards?! This past weekend I hosted a cheeseboard workshop where each attendee got to follow along and make their own board. I typically make giant boards and demonstrate in front of everyone, but this is another fun format for my cheeseboard workshops where everyone actually gets to participate throughout. These are so easy and fun to put together and make the perfect snack or little meal! Find all the ingredients and assembly intstructions below including a link to buy these mini boards!
One Room Challenge Playroom Makeover: Week 6 Update
This week was all about the walls! I made more progress on the DIY stenciled wallpaper wall and also added some fun new additions to the book wall (read more about that here)! Check out the videos below for a peek at the process for both of these. I also explained more in depth the DIY wallpaper process in week four’s post here. I started peeling the painter’s tape off of a couple sections and it was so exciting to see the completed look. I just have one more section to go before we are done!
