One Room Challenge 2021: Week 6- Upstairs Desk Nook + WALLPAPER Sneak Peek!

How is it already Week 6?! I feel like this year’s challenge is moving twice as fast as last years! This week I FINALLY feel like I’m making progress. It’s still going to be a sprint to the finish line but I’m finally getting somewhere and finally have some exciting peeks to show you (including WALLPAPER!). I will link all my sources for everything I’m sharing this week at the end of this post.

One Room Challenge 2021: Week 5- The Regroup Week, Vintage Rugs, Paint Colors, + More!

Welcome to week FIVE of the One Room Challenge. This week was the week of regrouping for me. I had to come to terms with the fact that everything I had planned for the space is just not going to happen in the 8 week timeline as I cannot get any contractors or subs scheduled with how busy everyone is. I want everything done right, and want to use people I trust, so I would rather wait than rush it. I have decided I will do two reveals instead! I will still do a reveal at the end of 8 weeks with a good deal of projects done- wallpaper, upstairs desk area, new dutch door, gallery wall/stair landing feature wall, light fixtures, and a partial (possibly entire) staircase runner.

One Room Challenge 2021: Week 3- Dutch Door, Wallpaper, + More Updates

{One Room Challenge Week 3 Update} Well this should be the week everything starts falling into place and I start rolling on this project. Unfortunately that is definitely not the case. None of my projects are going to plan so far and I can’t even get a quote for the renovation portion of my project from anyone. I’m feeling beyond frustrated and defeated this week, which I don’t let happen often. Here’s all the updates I have for this week:

Holiday Home Tour 2020: Entryway

Next up on my 2020 Holiday Home Tour is our entryway! If you’ve followed along for a while, you may have heard me rave about The Domestic, one of my favorite local vintage shops. This season, I found this tufted vintage bench that fits my entryway perfectly. I love the pop of color it adds to the space. For the rest of the decor, I stuck with a pretty neutral color scheme, with some cozy, cabin vibes. Make sure you check out the battery powered twinkle lights I’ve linked below. They are a lifesaver in older homes like mine with minimal outlets!

Holiday Home Tour 2019: Modern Cabin Entryway

The first room I’m sharing on this year’s holiday home tour is my entryway! This room recently got a little revamp as I added a new console table and redid the area above it as well with a new mirror + sconces (using the magic light trick!- more to come on that later). I used a bit of my more colorful decor in here this year including my vintage stocking, skis, red beaded garlands, and some vintage-inspired pillows. I love the pops of color with all the black and white, more modern items that are usually in here- like the rug, table, sconces, etc.

Fall Home Tour 2018: Entryway

I’m kicking off my fall home tour today starting with my autumn entryway! This is always one of my favorite areas of my home to decorate for the changing seasons. There are a few things I do every year as far as decor, like the pumpkins up the stairs and garland on the banister, but I also like to add a few new elements each year too. This year I decided to use this vintage floral painting as the inspiration for the space. I hung it off to the side instead of centered on the back wall and then added a hanging metal bin on the other side to balance it out. I filled the space with lots of different fall stems and greenery too, including the gorgeous fresh leaf wreath from Trader Joe’s that I hung on the mirror.
