Candy Cane Caprese Board | Quick + Easy Holiday Appetizer
Today I’m sharing the quickest, easiest, and cutest holiday appetizer around- candy cane caprese! This is just like a traditional caprese except you make it in the shape of a candy cane for a festive holiday touch! I also added prosciutto to make it a little heartier (and even more delicious). It seriously doesn’t get much easier than this as far as holiday appetizers go and I promise all your guests will love eating this as well! Grab all the instructions and list of ingredients for putting your own together below!

4 oz prosciutto
16 oz mozzarella cheese log
1-2 medium/large beefsteak tomatoes
fresh basil
olive oil
Italian spices/seasoning mix
balsamic vinegar
salt
pepper
French or Italian baguette
Carefully slice tomatoes into about 1/4 in thick round slices.
Slice mozzarella log into similar size slices as well.
On a serving platter or board of your choice, layer your tomatoes, mozzarella slices, then a small bit of prosciutto, folded in between the tomato and mozzarella slices. Layer into the shape of a candy cane.
Coarsely chop a small bit of fresh basil and sprinkle over the entire candy cane. Sprinkle with a small bit of salt and pepper too.
Fill two small bowls/dishes with dipping sauces: one with olive oil, topped with a sprinkle of Italian seasonings and the other with balsamic vinegar.
Use the remaining fresh basil to garnish your board, then set your dipping sauces on the board as well, towards the bottom of the candy cane.
Slice up your baguette and add a few slices to garnish the board as well. Put the remaining baguette slices in a bowl to set beside your board.
