Clean + Simple Modern Farmhouse Office Design Project
One of my favorite installs from this summer and a follower favorite as well was this modern farmhouse office project! We started with a pretty empty space but in a day transformed it into a bright + cozy office space that is much more functional and welcoming. We mostly stuck to neutrals in the room but I wanted to add warmth with lots of textures and different materials. There are lots of wood tones throughout, as well as pops of dark metal, and then we pulled in some cozy texture and pattern with the pillows, throw, curtains, and rug.

Bachelor Pad Dining Room Project
If you’ve been following along this will be the first of many “bachelor pad” updates. This summer I’ve had the pleasure of designing this entire house from scratch and I have loved the challenge. This client bought this home with no furniture but a mattress. His style is very minimal and modern and I also wanted to keep it masculine at the same time. We’ve used a lot of industrial metals, rustic reclaimed wood, and leather fabrics throughout the home. The dining room setup we pulled together is very simple but fits the space perfectly.

Summer Porch 2019
I feel like I say this every year, but this really IS my favorite porch yet! I usually do lots of pattern and color all over but this year I decided to do a lot of cream, white, and neutrals with just a few small colorful pops! I recovered all my patio cushions using drop cloth and I could not love the finished product more (I’ll be doing a separate blogpost with more details on this too!). A lot of the newer items I added were from Target’s Magnolia Hearth + Hand line and I love the slightly retro and classic feel of them. Shop my favorite pieces and new additions and check out more of my porch details below!

Easy 5-Piece Coffee Table Styling for Spring

Anthropologie Look for Less Bedroom
Today I’m sharing this recent guest bedroom makeover that I completed for a client this past week! We started with basically nothing except a plain bed and transformed the space into a cozy and layered bedroom that any guest would love to stay in. I think everyone covets that high-end and super cozy Anthropologie look especially in a bedroom, but not so much the price tag. I was able to copy the look for a quarter of the price using bedding and accessories from Target. Their new Opalhouse line in particular has a ton of Anthropologie inspired pieces. We also added these gorgeous nightstands and headboard from Wayfair which really anchor the room.

Preppy Pink Little Girl's Room
Last week I installed phase 1 of this sweet preppy girl’s room project that I have been working on. My client wanted to update her daughter’s bedroom and make it more of a “big girl” room. Her toddler bed was converted to a full size bed, so she needed all new bedding and bedside tables to go with it! We started by changing up the bedding, adding bedside tables and wall sconces, and new curtains. I’m in love with this gingham bedding which is so girly and fun, but also something she’ll be able to grow into and keep using for years to come. We are also planning on wallpapering the wall behind her bed and adding some more accessories and pillows as well to finish off the space.

John Woodford's Vintage Southern Nursery
We welcomed our sweet John Woodford into the world on November 26th, 2019, exactly a week after his due date. Almost two months have simultaneously flown and crept by since then, but I am loving every second of watching this precious boy grow. John Woodford has slept in his nursery every night since the first night we came home, so this room is getting plenty of use. I wanted to finish it completely before he arrived, and since he took his time, I had plenty of extra days to work on it! There are still a few things I want to add here and there, especially now that I have a better idea of what we need practicality wise, but overall I love how it turned out. It’s the perfect mix of traditional southern, modern, and vintage with sentimental keepsakes throughout. I loved designing this space as it was just an empty, blank white room when I started a few months ago.

Modern + Minimal Bathroom Renovation
I have been SO excited to share this amazing transformation of one of my latest design projects. This client's bathroom was original to the home and had not been updated since they had lived there. I was so excited when they asked me to help with the design and coordination of this renovation especially after hearing their vision and ideas for the space. Miller Team Renovations handled all the tile and renovation work from start to finish and they were wonderful to work with. I appreciated that they kept me updated every step of the way and allowed me to make every single little decision about the space, which is so rare.
