Fall Home Tour 2022: Colorful Halloween Playroom
To conclude the Fall Home Tour, I am sharing the final room – the playroom! I loved adding some fun Halloween touches to this space by using some vintage decorations that I already had and by purchasing some new Halloween favorites.

Bright + Fun Vintage Halloween Playroom
Halloween may be over but I wanted to be sure to share one last space with you on my fall home tour, the playroom! If you were following along this summer, I participated in the One Room Challenge to makeover my son’s playroom. This entire room came together in 8 weeks, and it was full of DIY projects and vintage finds. You can read more about the playroom makeover and any sources for the space here. Now that the holidays have arrived, I’m having SO much fun adding in seasonal decor. I’ve been collecting vintage decor for years, but I’ve linked several options below so you can recreate this look!
Our Favorite Halloween Children's Books + Our Vintage Halloween Children's Book Collection
I have always been obsessed with children’s books, and started collecting even before I was pregnant. My back up job choice was always to be a children’s librarian and over the years I’ve created our own little at-home library filled with vintage and new books of all kinds. I especially like collecting holiday themed books and have gotten quite a few Christmas and Halloween. This year I was thrilled ot be able to display them all on our new playroom book wall! I’ve gathered up my all-time favorites too and linked them below so you can shop and create your own collection! Happy October!
Fall Home Tour 2018: Halloween Mudroom
The amount of Halloween decor I’ve collected over the years is seriously getting out of control. Over the past several years, I’ve transitioned to doing more autumn and fall themed decor and less Halloween because it’s easy to fit in with my everyday decor and I can keep it up for a little longer after October is over if needed. I still LOVE breaking out a little bit of classic Halloween and/or spooky decor though and usually add it to just one or two spaces for late October in my house. For the last couple of years, I’ve added it to my existing porch decor for the last half of October and to greet trick or treaters (see last year’s Halloween porch here!). Last year I also did a haunted/spooky room in Alex’s office downstairs (you can find photos of that here).
