I love anything polka dot, especially when it comes on a flowy vintage skirt! Vintage skirts are one of my summer staples and so easy to dress up for special events or down for daytime wear. For a casual Sunday, I paired this one with a simple tank, sandals, and straw bag.Read More
There's not many things I love more than dressing in theme, so naturally 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I find that my summer wardrobe consists of SO many red, white, and blue pieces (mostly vintage) that I have to start wearing my patriotic outfits a week before the holiday to squeeze them all in. This polka dot vintage skirt + 70's crop top will always be two of my favorites that I continue to wear summer after summer. I also have a couple of perfectly patriotic purses that I love to show off each year, this Enid Collins one being my favorite. I've linked lots of similar vintage pieces for you to shop at the end of this post- Happy 4th!
I don't know what screams "weekend" more than this outfit. Besides the fact that my super comfy sweatshirt just flat out spells it out, all the other elements are weekend essentials too. Let's start with the accessories: if you don't own a pair of classic Converse sneakers yet (I'd recommend a neutral color), they are the perfect way to add a casual twist to any outfit and get that laid-back summer look (plus they are super comfortable!) Target has been my go-to the past couple summers for cheap, cute summer hats like this straw Panama hat. Don't forget to also shop the men's section for hats at Target too! Heart sunglasses remind me of my childhood and just add a fun and unexpected touch to any outfit. Let's not forget this brand new Kentucky food map tote that is PERFECT for all your summer weekend activities in the bluegrass: from farmer's market trips, to picnics, to the pool!
Our best-selling Kentucky food map print by Stately Made is now available in an adorable canvas tote! This is the perfect bag for summers in the bluegrass and trips to your local farmer's market.

I just love Loretta Lynn and "Coal Miner's Daughter" is one of my all-time favorite movies, so when I spotted this vintage mug at an estate sale, I could hardly believe my eyes! This treasure is an authentic vintage souvenir from the 70s from Loretta Lynn's birthplace right here in Kentucky. A perfect gift for any Loretta lover- you can shop it now here.
My husband put these in my stocking for Christmas and now I am hooked! I usually stick to super cheap drugstore brand face wash, but I can tell this has improved my skin so much that I am willing to spend a little more on it. The brightening facial scrub is super exfoliating (which I love!) and really deep cleans your skin, removing all impurities, while also brightening any scars or dark spots you might have. I get acne scars and dark spots very easily and this has really done wonders for my skin tone. I also am drawn to super grainy, coarse scrubs because they just feel like a mini-facial every time you use them! The night cream smells so lovely and really does just about everything you need for your skin: firming, moisturizing, and repairing. Sometimes moisturizers make my skin feel oily and greasy as they set in but this cream leaves my skin feeling so clean and fresh even hours later! The best part about all Acure products is that they are completely natural, organic, and certified fair trade. Their products use two of the most potent cutting-edge ingredients available: active stem sells and Chlorella growth factor. You can find their products locally at Whole Foods or Good Food Co-op, or shop them online here.
These stunning vintage antlers are another estate sale find. I was able to snag two mounted antlers from this same estate sale (one of which I just had to keep!). I love the leather and wood mount on this one and especially the gorgeous dark gray/brown tone of the antlers. It is so rare to find vintage mounted antlers in such good shape. These are from the 50's and even have the date written in pencil on the back of the wood! You can shop them now here.
Yet another garage sale find (I hit the jackpot the last couple of weeks), this giant vintage floor pillow fits in perfectly in my newly redecorated guest bedroom! I love the unique southwestern-style print and colors. Compared to the $50 plus you would spend on a new floor pillow or pouf at stores, I am very pleased with my $3 purchase!
I love the bohemian vibe of this summery 90's tribal print dress I found while out thrifiting. It has a unique wrap silhouette and is also a skort on the bottom! It is super flattering on and also so comfortable. I can see it paired with wedges and a clutch for dinner, or strappy sandals and a tote for daytime.
I have never made it out of Target with only the items I went in for. Twice I have come SO close to making it to the cash register with JUST the dog food I needed, or JUST the toothpaste I came for, but THEN i pass the wrapping section. They knew what they were doing when they placed this section right next to the cash register. I almost always grab some cute printed tissue, ribbon, or a gift bag when I pass by. For spring they have EXPANDED their Spritz brand wrapping supplies and added so many cute new things. I picked up some black and white stripe and floral wrapping paper, black and white polka dot ribbon, gold and white striped twine, and these cute clear/black stripe treat bags. Check out the new spring wrappings at your local target or at Target.com
You may be shocked to hear that culottes are indeed "cool" again. I'm all for any kind of flowy pant, so I'm ready to jump in and try the trend. I've been able to find a few pairs while thrifting, and these polka dot ones are probably my favorites. They look adorable with just a simple t-shirt or crop top, but also with a dressier blouse or jacket. The silhouette is also super flattering (and comfortable!). This pair with an elastic waist allows you to wear them high-waisted or lower depending on what's most complimentary to your shape! Keep in mind the proportions and go for a more fitted or cropped top to offset the flowiness of the culottes. I think the key to wearing these is to go for a more laid-back look overall. For a day out to lunch and the farmer's market, I paired them with a simple white blouse, woven sandals, and wicker purse.
