Weekend Wardrobe

You may be shocked to hear that culottes are indeed "cool" again.  I'm all for any kind of flowy pant, so I'm ready to jump in and try the trend.  I've been able to find a few pairs while thrifting, and these polka dot ones are probably my favorites.  They look adorable with just a simple t-shirt or crop top, but also with a dressier blouse or jacket.  The silhouette is also super flattering (and comfortable!).  This pair with an elastic waist allows you to wear them high-waisted or lower depending on what's most complimentary to your shape!  Keep in mind the proportions and go for a more fitted or cropped top to offset the flowiness of the culottes.  I think the key to wearing these is to go for a more laid-back look overall.  For a day out to lunch and the farmer's market, I paired them with a simple white blouse, woven sandals, and wicker purse.
