Gathered Living Designs: Project Archives
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been SEVEN years since I started helping clients transform their spaces into something they love! We’ve worked on nearly every room in the house, from the bathroom to the bonus room - and here is a list of ALL the projects we’ve completed!
Teen Bedroom Makeover
I had so much fun putting together this teen girl bedroom refresh! We kept the design light and bright with fun pops of color and pattern. I layered in lots of fun prints, like checkerboards and stripes, in the same color palate to keep a cohesive look.
How to Style a Floating Ledge Shelf + Perfect Frames for This Project Roundup
One way to add depth to your wall is by hanging floating shelves. One way that I like to utilize a floating shelf is by adding it behind the couch in a living room. This is a great way to add art and style to your space without going the traditional gallery wall route!
Clean + Cozy Basement Makeover
One of my favorite installs of 2020 was this cozy, light, and cozy basement makeover! This client had recently renovated their basement and basically just had a couch when I first showed up! We were able to pull the space together completely through a combination of e-design and in-person services, as well as decorating club! There are a few different areas of the basement- a seating area, kitchen/bar area, and an entry/landing area at the bottom of the stairs. There’s also a guest bedroom down here that we coordinated with the same look- check that out here!
Bachelor Pad Living Room Project: Before + After
If you’ve been following along with my design projects, you know a good chunk of last year was taken up with my bachelor pad project. We started with a completely empty house (the client literally just had a mattress!) and we transformed it into the coolest and coziest bachelor pad around! The living room is the centerpiece of the home and probably my favorite space. We added some built-in shelving on each side of the fireplace that really pulled the whole room together (shelving was done by Miller Team Renovations). This client wanted a mix of modern and masculine for the space (leathers and neutrals) but also for everything to be comfortable and practical! I love how the space pulled together and think it will be stylish and functional for years to come. Check out some before and after photos as well as shopping links for the items we used below!
Minimal Spa-Like Master Bedroom Makeover
Here’s a sneak peek of a project I am currently finishing up. This super minimal and chic master bedroom makeover is giving me all the spa-like vibes! This client knew exactly what she wanted, which made my job super easy. I have never done such a simple, minimal design before but I really loved the process. One of the biggest challenges for the space was choosing the right white paint color that would coordinate with the existing trim color which was a little darker beige. Before all the walls in this house were a very pale yellow (very 90’s- check out the before photos below) and we are slowly changing them room by room. Keeping the trim color as-is is a huge money saver in the long run, especially since the actual paint was still in good condition.
Modern Farmhouse Living Room Design
It’s amazing how much impact your accessories have on the overall feel of a room. This project was a “decor refresh” where we kept all the main pieces but switched out small accessories/decor to completely transform the overall style of this living room. This client wanted to modernize their farmhouse living room and make it more clean and simple overall. They already had great, quality furniture pieces, so there was no need to replace any of those! We stripped down the space and updated small items like lamps, coffee table accessories, wall decor, and pillows! The end product is so classic but also modern and chic and will last this couple for years to come!
Clean + Simple Modern Farmhouse Office Design Project
One of my favorite installs from this summer and a follower favorite as well was this modern farmhouse office project! We started with a pretty empty space but in a day transformed it into a bright + cozy office space that is much more functional and welcoming. We mostly stuck to neutrals in the room but I wanted to add warmth with lots of textures and different materials. There are lots of wood tones throughout, as well as pops of dark metal, and then we pulled in some cozy texture and pattern with the pillows, throw, curtains, and rug.
