One of the requests I get most from clients is to help them arrange and hang their wall decor. I cannot tell you how many homes I have visited that have a fully decorated house but still have blank walls, just because they don't know where to get started and are afraid to "mess up." That's why I've gathered up all my best tips and tricks that make hanging wall decor and frames as easy as possible. Throughout my experience hanging wall decor in my own home, client's homes, businesses and restaurants, as well as retail and offices, I have learned a lot from trial and error, as well as from working with all different shapes, sizes, and types of wall decor. Southwestern prints have been one of the most popular decorating trends this year and are the perfect way to add a pop of texture and pattern into any space. The heavy fabrics and rich colors of these prints also make them ideal for fall decor (which is all I can think about lately, I'm too excited for FALL!). The easiest way to incorporate this trend if you aren't sure about it is with a pillow. It's small enough that it won't overpower your space and you can tone it down by mixing and matching with other solid pillows. I have them all over my house from my living room, to bedrooms, to patio. I love to mix and match them with other patterns and textures like faux fur pillows, leather couches, and knit throws. Woven patterned pillows can be hard to find at affordable prices, but we have some wonderful options (all handwoven wool) in a variety of patterns and colors for just $20 each! You can also see them in person and grab them ready to go with pillow insert included in our shop for $22. Think these might be a bit much for your decor? Take a look at some of my favorite styling inspirations below and you'll be sure to fall in love with this chic, bohemian style!

Say hello to my latest decorating obsession: vase fillers! These little tools of the trade are the perfect way to add texture to any space, and instantly make your accessories look completely pulled together. What's the best place to get them? My go-tos are definitely Home Goods, Marshalls, and TJMaxx, they always seem to have a good variety (usually near the candles in Home Decor) and have a constantly changing selection. Better yet they usually retail for $2.99-$5.99 for an entire bag full! I have been looking for some accessories for my patio that will hold up to the outdoor elements while still looking chic and modern. I was able to put together this entire centerpiece that is all completely outdoor-proof for under $30, all from Home Goods. Even better, all the pieces are classic and neutral and I can easily reuse them other places throughout the house or bring the entire arrangement inside for the winter!
All you need to make your own indoor/outdoor centerpiece is:
1. A shallow basket or tray. I liked the brown/gray tone of this one AND it is coated in a plastic material so it would be waterproof and super durable for the outdoors- $14.99 from Home Goods)
or shop these similar options:
2. A small plant in a pot. A succulent or fern works well and is easy to care for (They usually have a good selection at Lowe's or Home Depot or try a local greenhouse). Your pot won't be super visible so you can use something you already have (even a classic terracotta pot would work), or grab something inexpensive at the store. I got this coppery colored planter at Home Goods too (on clearance for $3.00!).
3. Vase fillers. I used 3 bags because my tray was rather large (two bags would have probably been plenty). There are so many options out there to choose from, here are some other choices that I liked:
Now you can put it all together! Assemble your centerpiece by first placing your potted plant in the center of your tray. Next add your largest vase fillers first to fill up the bottom, then slowly fill the top with the rest, arranging your favorites on top so that they are most visible! Voila- you are done!
Decorating doesn't get much easier than that! This is a centerpiece that you can use year-round indoors or out- it's perfect for a dining table, buffet, or coffee table. I would love to see how you customize it and make it your own!
