Easy Tips for Hanging Pictures + Wall Decor in Your Home
One of the requests I get most from clients is to help them arrange and hang their wall decor. I cannot tell you how many homes I have visited that have a fully decorated house but still have blank walls, just because they don't know where to get started and are afraid to "mess up." That's why I've gathered up all my best tips and tricks that make hanging wall decor and frames as easy as possible. Throughout my experience hanging wall decor in my own home, client's homes, businesses and restaurants, as well as retail and offices, I have learned a lot from trial and error, as well as from working with all different shapes, sizes, and types of wall decor. Take a look at my top tips, must-have tools, favorite tutorials, and more below! Let me know if you have any questions about hanging wall decor in the comments too!

1. Get a Hang-O-Matic: This is my secret weapon for hanging those dreaded "double-hanger" pictures quickly and perfectly! This tool allows you to measure the space between the two hangers, mark them in the wall, and ensure that the marks are level all with one piece! Check out my video below for more details on how this works and you can grab yours online here.
2. Use D-Rings: I always have a variety of d-rings in my toolbox for those wall decor items that don't have any hanging hardware on the back or frames that are missing hangers. These are so handy as you can easily screw them into the back of just about everything (minus metal pieces). You can either hang one in the center of your item to hang it, OR hang one on each side of the piece and wrap a wire in between for hanging. Sometimes I just ignore and bypass the double hangers on the back of frames and attach one of these in the center instead for easy hanging (just be sure to measure and get it exactly in the center of your item).
3. Command Strips: I don't necessarily use these to hang items on their own, but I use them constantly to secure frames and wall decor on the wall so that it stays put and level just as I want it! All you need is to cut a small piece of a command strip and place it on the back of the bottom of your frame or item, ensure the item is level, then push it into the wall to attach it. Your item will now stay put even if someone bumps it, bangs on the walls, or brushes up against it! These are also so handy to use as a quick cheat tool when something is hanging just a little crooked and needs to be secured straight!
4. Go For It!: DO NOT BE AFRAID to hang items on your walls! I cannot emphasize this enough! There is nothing you can do that will cause so much damage that you won't be able to quickly patch it or fix it. One of the easiest ways to complete and pull together a room by getting rid of those blank walls, so don't let the fear of messing up or not liking the end product stall you from making progress. Wall decor is not permanent and can easy be changed or tweaked if you don't like it.
