Our Fixer Upper: Summer Porch
all photos by Sarah E Dunn Photo + Design
One of my favorite parts of our home continues to be the outdoor spaces. This little side porch is covered so it's completely protected from the elements and I can pretty much set it up and style it like an indoor space. Most of my furniture on the porch is vintage and/or thrifted so it's all a mix and match collection of different styles and materials. The overall vibe out here is rustic and boho chic with lots of layered textures and pops of green and gold. Find more details on our porch including before + after photos here.
My number one must-have for porch decor is lots and lots of plants! I have tropical plants, succulents, ferns and little trees all over the porch and I think they add so much color and warmth to the space. All of my plants are from Lowe's or Pemberton's greenhouses here in Lexington. I try to choose plants that are super easy to care for but all different shapes, sizes, and colors so that there's lots of variety!
Since many of the items on my porch are very old or thrifted, I've gathered up tons of picks below to help you achieve the same style and look in your own space. Some of my favorite pieces like my gold lanterns are still in store, but I've also linked very similar options to items that are no longer available in-stores like my round jute rug, succulent wreath, and pillows! Shop these + all my favorite picks for creating a cozy, neutral, boho-chic patio space below and as always if you have any questions about something I forgot to mention, just ask!
