Weekend Wardrobe: Vacation Outfits from Morton James

This year while packing and planning my outfits for our beach vacation, I decided I wanted to showcase all the amazing finds available at our local boutiques and small businesses around Lexington.  As a small business owner, I try to shop local as much as possible, and I usually find much more unique items than I would at a chain store and they also end up being much higher quality and better fitting.  One of my first stops for easy, breezy vacation outfits was Morton James in Lexington, who just opened their second location at The Summit at Fritz Farm.  I picked up both of the items featured below at their Chevy Chase location and they have the best selection of flowy, easy to wear tops, chambray button-downs and blouses, and printed mini dresses.  I love the attention to silhouette and quality that goes into choosing all the pieces that they carry!  If you are in Lexington, you will definitely want to stop in one of both of their locations to check out the best local fashion; and even if you aren't local, you can call their shop to order items (like the pieces I'm wearing below!) or check out their online shop too.  Thank you to Morton James for gifting me with a few items for my trip- check out my favorite picks below!

Striped Bella Dahl pants: c/o Morton James   |    Baby blue crop top: Forever21 (old- similar here)   |    Wedges: Seychelles via Amazon   |    Clutch: Vintage (thrifted- similar here)

Anytime I find a pair of well-fitting pants I consider it a gift sent from heaven.  It doesn't happen often, but these striped Bella Dahl pants are so perfect for summer- flowy and light and super comfortable!  I love the nautical striped pattern, baby blue color, and the drawstring waist is just the cherry on top!  I paired these with a flowy, coordinating blue crop top, vintage clutch, and some wedges, but I can also see dressing these down for everyday with a simple tee and sandals too!

Gingham "Show Me Your Mumu" Blouse: c/o Morton James   |    Floral print skirt: Vintage (thrifted- similar here)    |     Wedges: Seychelles via Amazon    |     Purse: Vintage Enid Collins (similar here)

I saved my very favorite piece for the 4th of July- this Show Me Your Mumu gingham tie-up top!  The fit is just perfect- slightly cropped but perfectly drapey and flowy too!  The sleeves, neckline, button-down detail, and just about every inch of this top is perfection!  I paired it with a blue floral vintage skirt for a complete red, white, and blue fourth of July outfit, but I can see myself wearing it constantly this summer with denim cut-offs too!
