Holiday Home Tour: Butler's Pantry Preview
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our home! I usually stick to a very strict "no decorating before Thanksgiving" rule, but with how busy the holiday season is for small businesses in addition to adding my new decorating jobs to the schedule, I decided to start early this year to alleviate some holiday stress. We also have a quite a bit more room in our new house and that means more holiday decor! The first room I have started decorating this year is the pantry (yes, the pantry). Even though it may seem ridiculous to most to decorate a pantry, ours is a space right off both the mudroom and kitchen that is clearly visible and also a room where we spend a lot of time. And let's be honest, I'm not going to miss an opportunity to deck out any room!
I knew I wanted a uniquely colored tree to really pop against the dark walls in this room. Thanks to Hayneedle, I was able to find THE PERFECT deep red tinsel tree and they were generous enough to send it to me to style for this room. If you have never heard of Hayneedle it is a one-stop online shop for home decor and you can find really great prices on just about everything, furniture, bedding, kitchenware, lighting, and more! I am always a bit nervous ordering trees online that I can't see in person, but I was SO pleasantly surprised when the tree arrived! It is extremely beautiful and expensive-looking and has more than enough lights that are a beautiful golden color when lit. I decorated it with lots of gold and metallic ornaments to play off of all the brass and gold details I have in this room, including our chandelier.
Speaking of the chandelier, it might be my favorite part of the Christmas decorations in here. I was inspired to hang lots of vintage ornaments and garland from it from pictures I had seen on Pinterest, and I love the finished look! It is such a beautiful and glamorous centerpiece for the room and a perfect way to display vintage or heirloom ornaments.
On our open shelving, I added some pops of gold as well, including garland at the top and a fun wreath hanging over the shelves. I also mixed in some of my favorite little vintage Christmas keepsakes, like these flocked deer, Christmas store signs, and my Santa cookie jar. I'm not quite finished with the entire room yet and still have a few finishing touches to add, but I wanted to go ahead and share a preview of my progress so far! Enjoy!
xoxo
