Holiday Home Tour 2021: Master Bedroom
My bedroom is where I love to use simple decor that make a big impact! I love the use of garland, wreaths and Christmas trees to give the space a nature filled look that’s also classic. The twinkling lights at night as you snuggle in for the night is the icing on the cake! Shop my look below!
Holiday Home Tour 2020: Kitchen and Dining Room
Next up on my Holiday Home Tour is our kitchen and dining room. There are SO many things I love about how this room turned out. The little black ribbon on the wreath about the fireplace was the inspiration that sparked the design for this room. I tucked real magnolia stems throughout both trees, and then tied on lots of different velvet ribbons in rich dark colors. Adding touches of real greenery to faux trees is one of my favorite design tricks! It helps fill out the trees and gives a richer, layered look.
Holiday Home Tour 2019: Modern Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen
My kitchen is always one of my favorite areas to decorate for the holidays. This year I did a more neutral color scheme in here of all white, black, and pops of green. Our beautiful real tree and garland on the fireplace is courtesy of Hillenmeyer’s Christmas Shop and are definitely the highlights of the space. The quality of the greenery and our tree are above and beyond what I have gotten before at other stores and our tree still looks just as full and healthy as it did when we first got it! Not only is the quality top notch, but the experience you get at Hillenmeyer’s is just completely magical and so special! Every corner is photo worthy and they really put so much effort into making it a beautiful and inspiring space for all who visit. I can’t thank them enough for collaborating with me this year and making my Christmas decor a little more special.
Holiday Home Tour 2019: Master Bedroom
Bedrooms can be extra magical when decorated for Christmas and the epitome of cozy! I love adding a small tree and some twinkle lights to our bedroom every year. The antlers above our bed made the perfect base for layering a wreath (this gorgeous fresh wreath is courtesy of Hillenmeyer’s Christmas Shop) and stringing some bulb lights, and I also added some fresh garland along the top of the headboard too. I also usually switch out our bedding for the winter and add some heavier layers, like this velvet quilt, and mix in some faux fur and wool pillows too.
Holiday Home Tour 2019: Neutral White Christmas Living Room
The next space I’m sharing on my holiday home tour is the center of our home, the living room! This is always one of my favorite areas to decorate and the first space I tackle every year. I love mixing the neutrals and pale pastels in here and lots of textures in the pillows, stockings, tree skirt, and garlands! Especially for your living room, I recommend choosing Christmas decor that will coordinate with your existing decor/colorscheme. It may not end up being traditional Christmas colors, but it will be unique and make the entire space flow seamlessly!
Holiday Home Tour: Mudroom
Today I’m sharing my Christmas decor from my mudroom/laundry room this year. I have so much kitschy vintage Christmas decor I’ve collected over the years and this seemed like the perfect spot to display some of it. I love how the bright colors really pop against the black and white gingham wallpaper and black chalkboard wall. This space is really so cheerful and fun to walk into everyday and it makes doing laundry a little bit better too!
Holiday Home Tour 2018: Entryway
Today I’m sharing the next space up on my holiday home tour, my entryway. This space is always one of my favorite to decorate because of all the unique nooks and crannies and character of this space. I love to go for a winter wonderland look in here with tons of flocked trees, garlands, and wreaths and lots of white and neutrals. This year I added this giant chalkboard on the back wall with some lyrics from one of my favorite Christmas movies, White Christmas, which seemed fitting for the space. I also love the extra light and glow that these Christmas lights add to this back corner, which is normally kind of dark and bland. I’ve linked all my favorite decor items from this space below that you can use to recreate this look!
