Our Fixer Upper Fall Tour: Kitchen

Our kitchen is the center of our home and where we spend most of our time, so I wanted to be sure the fall decor didn't make it feel cluttered and fit in seamlessly with the style of the space. I added a few wreaths, some garland, and plenty of pumpkins and gourds throughout the space to give it a natural, rustic fall feel. These touches blended perfectly with the industrial farmhouse style of our kitchen while also adding perfect pops of color and texture. Above you can see our fireplace area which features one of my favorite thrifted wreaths, a $5 yard sale find that is super unique and the perfect statement piece for above the fireplace. I also added a couple of layered fall garlands from Target and filled the fireplace with pumpkins and vintage candlesticks (temporarily until we get out fireplaces checked out, sweeped, and ready for winter fires!).

On our open-shelving wall I simply added some fall touches: pumpkins, gourds, amber and turquoise jars, and a fall paint-by-number at the bottom. The dishes and serving ware that we usually display on this shelf are pretty neutral so I can add just about any pops of color easily.

I updated our giant chalkboard with a fall quote too! I always find chalkboard quote ideas and font inspiration on Pinterest.

Below you can see the back wall of the kitchen where I added another wreath above the sink and some more garland too. This back wall was looking pretty bland but these decorations add some interest.

I always keep this basket in the center of the island to hold produce, snacks, and this giant jar of fresh flowers. It's the perfect centerpiece and kind of anchors the entire kitchen.

Of course I couldn't wait to add my new Magnolia tea towel I picked up during our Silobration trip to the kitchen!

I'm slowly adding more wall art, like these vintage brass plates by the fridge, and finishing out the overall decor of the kitchen. I've also added curtains on all the windows and the multi-colored rug by the sink. I still have a few small projects in here but it finally feels more complete and "lived-in." Looking back on my last kitchen post from a few months ago, it's amazing how much it has already evolved! I love the coziness and warmth all the fall decor adds and will be just as excited to transform it again for Christmas in a month or so!
