I’m excited to share the first room on this year’s fall home tour, my living room! This year I kept my overall neutral palette with pops of pale pastel and gold throughout. I also restyled my coffee table with some new pieces and overall simplified the shelf decor too. I always love how cozy the addition of fall decor makes a living space feel!Read more
It’s my favorite time of year for decorating and I’m so excited to begin adding some cozy fall touches throughout my home. I get a good amount of my fall decor every year at Target and what I love is that many of the pieces can be used beyond fall as well! This year is no exception, and while most of these items aren’t available in my local stores yet, I went ahead and scoured their online inventory and chose my favorite pieces! I love the rich colors and textures they have incorporated this year and all the more modern fall pieces.Read more
I was more excited than usual to decorate our front porch this year because we just completed a much overdue renovation of the porch which now has all new supports, stairs, and lumber all around. We have not gotten to stain the wood yet, but who knows when we’ll have time to do that, so I just went ahead and started decking it out for fall! This is a project we had on our list since moving in, as many of the boards had major cracking or holes in them, but somehow or another it always got pushed to the side. Now it’s as good as new and completely structurally sound as well.Read more
Today I’m sharing the next room up on my fall home tour, my kitchen! I love to decorate this space for any time of year because there’s so many different areas and elements to refresh: open shelving, fireplace, table settings, and more! I usually use a lot of bright colors in here normally but add an extra pop of orange in as well for fall. I love how it looks mixed with the greens, blues, and gold accents I usually have in this space. Some of my favorite elements of this room are the simplest decor items- like the blue vase on the kitchen table filled with a tall autumn leaf stem; or the fireplace filled with a combination of firewood, bright pumpkins and gourds, and modern brass candlesticks.Read more
Happy fall y'all! I'm so excited to share some more of my fall decor and today I'll be showing you my kitchen. I always enjoy adding some fall touches to our open shelving wall in here and some garland and wreaths to our corner fireplace. I try to reserve all my brightest fall decor for this space, since I have a lot of vintage kitchenware that tends to come in bright, kitschy colors. Pops of turquoise, orange, and yellow are mixed with lots of black and white as well as brass and gold touches. I always like to have fresh flowers in the kitchen too and Trader Joe's always has the best fall flowers every year. Some of my other vases, pitchers, and jars throughout the room are filled with wheat or faux leaf stems. I love the simple and natural feel of those arrangements and how much warmth they add to the space. As always most all my decor is thrifted, or a mix of Homegoods and Target. You can find more details on all our kitchen fixtures and renovation here. I've also linked a lot of those items, as well as similar fall decor for you to shop below! If you have any questions about anything not mentioned- feel free to ask!

If you follow my Instagram stories at all, you know that I have been not-so-patiently stalking Target for their new fall home decor collection for the past couple of weeks. This year the Threshold fall decor collection drop coincided with another launch of Target's new home decor brand, Project 62. Both were released this week online and in-stores and as usual, Target did not disappoint. I found so many great pieces to add to my seasonal decor and many of them are also perfect for year-round use as well. Take a look at some of my favorite picks below (just click on any photo to shop!).
As soon as September hits (and let's be honest a few weeks before too) I'm ready to deck my house out with all things cozy + autumn themed! It's my favorite time of year kicking off what feels like a marathon of seasonal decorating. The holidays give me an excuse to freshen up each room with some new decor and rearrange a bit too. I love the refreshed and super cozy feeling it brings to my home each year. Most of my decor is a collection of vintage or thrifted items that I have gathered over the years. Sometimes I leave thrifted/vintage items as-is and sometimes I alter them slightly with a little DIY or upcycling. You can easily DIY some of my fall decor items like my vintage "gather" fall landscape painting (tutorial here), or my gold leaf garland (tutorial here). I also like shopping for new decor at stores like Home Goods, Target, At Home, and Hobby Lobby. I find that my favorite decor pieces each year are unexpected things that are more natural and simple fall items like pinecones, acorns, leaves, and wheat. Something as simple as a glass vase or vintage bottle filled with a few pieces of wheat or a dried branch can turn into the most stunning fall display. I've linked up all my decor pieces above + below, as well as a list of my favorite fall decor picks now in-stores for you to shop! Enjoy!
