My Magical Autumn Greenhouse
I don’t think it gets more magical than a little greenhouse + twinkle lights + allll the pumpkins. While trying to figure out where I was going to put all these pumpkins from my latest trip to the produce auction, I spotted my little, still empty greenhouse out in the yard and instantly had a vision of a magical little backyard fall scene. I pulled all the props, planters, baskets, and pieces used around and inside the greenhouse from my garage or shed and dug some old Christmas lights out from storage. I had so much fun setting it up and I wish I could pick it up and transport it all over for more people to enjoy it! Sometimes you gotta do something just for fun and forget about how practical it is!
Fall Home Tour 2019: Cozy Modern Farmhouse Living Room
I’m excited to share the first room on this year’s fall home tour, my living room! This year I kept my overall neutral palette with pops of pale pastel and gold throughout. I also restyled my coffee table with some new pieces and overall simplified the shelf decor too. I always love how cozy the addition of fall decor makes a living space feel!
Fall Home Tour 2018: Living Room
The next space up on my fall home tour is my living room! I have been steering more towards all neutrals and pale pastels in this room lately so I decided to keep that feel for fall instead of adding my usual pops of orange and browns. I used lots of layered velvet and knit pillows on the couch in all different shades of cream. blush, and magenta mixed in with my favorite gold leaf pillows from Homegoods. I layered up the mantle a bit more than I usually do for fall by adding some eucalyptus garland and then piled up some neutral pumpkins on the threshold too. I always add lots of pumpkins to my built-in shelves, all white and metallic this year, and also added a few vases with simple fall stems.
Fall Home Tour 2018: Kitchen
Today I’m sharing the next room up on my fall home tour, my kitchen! I love to decorate this space for any time of year because there’s so many different areas and elements to refresh: open shelving, fireplace, table settings, and more! I usually use a lot of bright colors in here normally but add an extra pop of orange in as well for fall. I love how it looks mixed with the greens, blues, and gold accents I usually have in this space. Some of my favorite elements of this room are the simplest decor items- like the blue vase on the kitchen table filled with a tall autumn leaf stem; or the fireplace filled with a combination of firewood, bright pumpkins and gourds, and modern brass candlesticks.
Fall Home Tour 2018: Entryway
I’m kicking off my fall home tour today starting with my autumn entryway! This is always one of my favorite areas of my home to decorate for the changing seasons. There are a few things I do every year as far as decor, like the pumpkins up the stairs and garland on the banister, but I also like to add a few new elements each year too. This year I decided to use this vintage floral painting as the inspiration for the space. I hung it off to the side instead of centered on the back wall and then added a hanging metal bin on the other side to balance it out. I filled the space with lots of different fall stems and greenery too, including the gorgeous fresh leaf wreath from Trader Joe’s that I hung on the mirror.
