Weekend Wardrobe: Sweater Weather

Today was chilly and rainy here in Lexington but I had to get bundled up so that we could go pick out our Christmas trees!  I was able to find a couple that were just the perfect shape and size that I was looking for (a smaller one for my kitchen and a big one for the living room).  I picked up this sweater vest this weekend at the Anthropologie sale (it was already on sale + an additional 25% off!).  Sweater vests get the reputation for being super old-fashioned but the drapey, oversized look of this one caught my eye immediately!  I can't wait to try layering it different ways and it is SO comfortable AND warm!  I threw it over one of my winter staples, a stretchy basic turtleneck that I have literally had since highschool, and continue to wear every year!  It's very light-weight, comfortable, and perfect for layering with so many pieces.  I was lucky to find these ankle duck boots in my size at the thrift store this summer and they have been my go-to on rainy days.  I'm also wearing my all-time favorite jeans (and pretty much the only jeans I ever wear), Urban Outfitter's BDG super high-rise skinny jeans.  You cannot go wrong with these- they come in a ton of different colors and washes and have the most flattering fit.   I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend!

xoxo
