Lights, Camera, Amsden!
We are SO excited to announce that there will be a movie filming later this week inside the Amsden. The Stand In, a new romantic comedy, starring DREW BARRYMORE is going to be filming scenes around Versailles and at Wrigley Media in Lexington. Barrymore’s character in the moving owns a furniture shop and the mercantile space will be her shop in the movie! I seriously can’t believe that my little shop is going to be on the big screen and that Drew Barrymore will be inside it in just a few days!
The crew will be filming all around Versailles for scenes of the movie including private homes, farms, and some other businesses. I believe that they will be shooting outside the Ferrick Mason showroom directly across the street from us for the exterior shop scenes and all the interior shop scenes will be inside the mercantile.

What's NEW: Fall Candles
Some of my newest obsessions are these chai flavored candles from The Growing Candle ! The container is a reusable planter and the label is embedded with wildflower seeds that you can plant once your candle is gone 🌱! They come in all different styles and sizes and we have chai and apple cinnamon scent to choose from ($26-35). Seriously THE perfect housewarming or hostess gift to have on hand for gifting! Join us for the Versailles' Fall Festival this Weekend!
Kick off the fall season by spending the day in downtown Versailles at our annual fall festival! The Art Village, in cooperation with the Versailles Merchants Association, Woodford County Tourism Commission, and the City of Versailles, will be sponsoring the 2nd annual Versailles Fall Festival. On Saturday September 22, local artists and vendors will line Main Street to display and sell a variety of crafts, handmade items, artwork, and more! The street will be closed to traffic, music will be provided, and multiple food vendors will be on hand. This event is free and open to the public. Check out the specials we will be offering at The Amsden on Saturday below and we hope to see you there!
