Today I’ve teamed up with Gordmans to put together 3 different summer centerpieces perfect for all your outdoor entertaining! I love to entertain outside during the summer and one of the keys to a beautiful spread is a pretty centerpiece- whether it be on you dining table or serving table. All 3 of these centerpieces are super quick and easy to put together and every single item I’m using came from my Lexington Gordmans store! Even better, the total of all the items together was less than $150 and these are all items you can use again and again both in your indoor and outdoor decor. All three styles are fun and summery but each slightly different: a preppy and colorful ginger jar arrangement, a simple, neutral boho arrangement, and a natural, beachy arrangement.Read More

When it comes to spring dresses, I especially love long-sleeved options to bridge the gap between spring and summer. This chambray smocked dress from ASOS is the perfect transitional spring piece with such a sweet vintage flair. I love the bell sleeves and the overall laidback silhouette of this dress and I know I'll be wearing it a ton from spring and even into summer. You can shop my chambray dress as well as a few of my favorite kitchen decor pieces seen in this post below! Happy Spring!Read More

We all know that good ol' TJMaxx is feast or famine when it comes to selection, and I can always count on it to have the MOST amazing selection when I'm NOT looking to buy anything! That was the case this past week when I stopped in to look at the home decor and got completely sucked in to the amazing collection of floral dresses and summer tops! The racks were literally overflowing with pieces and I was so overwhelmed, I did not even get to look through everything! I don't know if all the stores have gotten such an influx of inventory lately, but I would suggest heading over and checking out your nearest store just in case! This floral maxi was just one of the items I snagged (AND it was on clearance too!). I love the smocked top and off the shoulder silhouette plus it's a super casual and light material that can be dressed up or down easily. I paired it with two of my favorite summer accessories: these denim flip-flops and this amazing pom-pom straw bag! You can shop all these items and some more similar picks at the end of this post!
It's been way too long since I last posted an update on the Amsden project. The past month has been nothing but plumbing and HVAC work which is mostly in the ceiling and below the floors, so there's not much to be shown as far as progress! So while that is happening I have been trying to focus on my vision and narrow down my design ideas for each space.
The retail shop takes up the largest portion of the building. It will be connected and flow into the coffee shop but also have the ability to be closed off so that they don't have to always be open at the same time. What you can expect from this space is an expanded version of the Miss Molly Vintage brand, Gather Mercantile, which will feature the best local makers + Kentucky made products mixed with vintage, antique, and reclaimed finds galore.
One of my ideas for this space is to have a fresh flower and plant bar. A space where you can pull from tons of vintage jars, vases, and planters and create your own custom arrangements in-store. I'm talking with a few local flower farmers and am hoping that we will have a variety of locally grown fresh blooms as well as a mix of faux stems, plants, succulents, and maybe even some wreaths and garlands too!
If you follow my projects and home decor, you know I am plant and flower crazy, so I felt like this passion just had to be included in my latest venture. We are planning to have a large open trough-style sink to anchor the space and give it that old-fashioned flower shop feel. Besides that I'd love to have layers of shelves and mismatched metal buckets and containers to hold all the stems, bouquets, and greenery. I've gathered up a few of my favorite inspirations for this space below. Let me know which are you favorite and what you would love to see incorporated into this space!
