“It’s a Cutie” Gender Neutral Baby Shower

I had the honor of throwing a baby shower for my very best lifelong friend as she welcomes her first baby! We wanted to choose a cute gender-neutral theme since they chose to be surprised by the gender of the baby- so fun! I started scouring Pinterest and loved the idea of the citrus theme for spring! It ended up being such a perfect and fun theme for the event. Below you’ll find links for shopping the look as-well-as vendor lists! It ended up being such a sweet and special day with friends and family. I hope you enjoy this cute shower as much as we did!

P.S. My friend and her husband recently welcomed a beautiful and healthy baby GIRL, Nora!

Elevated Balloons and Design is always my go-to for balloons and any kind of party decor! She also provided this great white, free-standing backdrop for the event. Check out that adorable customized balloon that matched our invitations- such a cute touch! She always does such a wonderful job of completing my vision and pulling together all my ideas!

Another event go-to for me is Daisy Cakes! She makes the most delicious and adorable baked goods including cupcakes, cakes, cake pops, and more! She customized all these baked goods exactly to my requests and everyone was raving about them! The lemon cupcakes with blueberry filling were a definite favorite!

For the food, I knew I wanted to do a giant grazing board with tons of bright colors and textures (recipe + instructions here). This had a little bit of everything including cured meats, fruits, veggies, dips, cheeses, and nuts. I garnished it with lots of edible flowers and greenery too. It was SO much fun to put together and everyone really enjoyed trying all the different foods and combinations! We also did some mini tea sandwiches as well as the desserts listed above! For drinks we set up a little drink station with tea, lemonade, and water.

I was able to find the cutest printable invitations, signage, and tags on Etsy which kind of inspired the entire colorscheme and other decor for the event! I also linked all the other decor I used or purchased for the event below!

I used SO many fresh oranges for the decor throughout- in vases, floral arrangements, and just sprinkled around! I even dried a bunch of oranges, threaded them on twine, and made little garlands for the wall backdrop! I also ordered some coordinating colors of onesies off Amazon to hang on the mantle using some cute trim and clothespins! For party favors, I wrapped bath bombs in orange fabric and tied it up with leaf ribbon from Hobby Lobby! Then I attached one of the printable little favor tags that coordinated with our invitation suite (also found on Etsy and linked below).
