All Things Decorative Pillows: My Tips for How to Get the Coziest + Fluffiest Pillows For Your Home
One of the easiest ways to make your home feel cozy is by adding some plush throw pillows! Nothing makes a couch or bed look as cozy and inviting as a good throw pillow setup. Today I’m sharing some of my tips + tricks for making your throw pillows look and feel luxurious!
For throw pillows on a king bed, I like to start with three Euros (oversized- usually around 25 x 25 inches), then add two medium-sized square throw pillows (18-22 inches), finished with one large lumbar in the front.
For decorative pillows on a queen bed, I usually do two Euros, two medium-sized square throw pillows, and one medium-sized lumbar in the front.
When ordering inserts for pillow covers, you should always size up two inches for a fuller pillow (for example: 16x16 cover + 18x18 inserts). This will achieve that really fluffy + full look that feels cloud-like!
For Euro pillows, I like to stay in the 24-28” range. You can go with any size in this range based on the sizing of your other pillows + headboard (i.e. if you find larger throw pillows you love, go with larger euros behind them!).
