Custom Paint Color Consultations
One of the hardest parts of home ownership and the design process is making decisions about the perfect paint colors for your home. Paint truly is the easiest and most dramatic way to transform any room or update an outdated space without spending a ton of money. Not only is it difficult to narrow down all the options available, but also to know what shades work together for trim, doors, and ceilings, as well as how to create a color scheme that will flow seamlessly from room to room. I know how hard it is hard to make these decisions on your own, which is why today I will be opening up a select number of spots for custom color consultations with me in your home!
Summer Penne with Roasted Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Salami, + Arugula
I've said it before, but some of my all-time favorite recipes come from Southern Living magazine, particularly their summer issues. This is another favorite that I tweaked the instructions for just slightly, but overall kept the ingredients pretty much the same. The simple balsamic and olive oil penne pasta base is so light, flavorful, and perfect for summer. It also allows the dish to be able to be served both hot or cold, and makes it compatible with a variety of different ingredients if you want to switch it up! This is a great "clean out your fridge" pasta as you can customize it as you want with any kind of cold cuts, Italian cheese, and roasted vegetables.
Vintage Rainbow Print Tee + Chambray Skirt
This fun vintage rainbow stripe tee is one of my all-time favorites and so perfect for summer! I love the pop of bright colors, especially paired with this adorable straw cherry print purse and super comfy chambray skirt. The cherry print straw bag is a steal at under $25 from Amazon! I've linked all my outfit details including similar striped tees above + below!

Our Fixer Upper: Baby Riddle Nursery Design
Time is flying by and I already feel like I'm so behind on getting the nursery ready for baby Riddle! I have made some progress over the last couple of weeks, narrowing down crib options and paint colors for the room though. I have a good idea of the overall style of the room that I am going for and have already started collecting a few cute accessories and vintage decor items. I really am leaning toward a more traditional, Americana style overall and this first inspiration below is one that I keep coming back to.
Sunflower Print Shorts + Summer Sweater
I've always loved a good floral print of any kind, especially when it comes in the form of the cutest and comfiest pair of shorts! These flowy, elastic waist shorts are so perfect for mixing and matching and also so flattering on a variety of figures (even if you're 23 weeks pregnant like me)! The shorts come with a matching crop top as well which I would totally be wearing if I didn't have an extra round belly right now! Instead I paired them with this summer crochet sweater, which is just as cute!

I love anything polka dot, especially when it comes on a flowy vintage skirt! Vintage skirts are one of my summer staples and so easy to dress up for special events or down for daytime wear. For a casual Sunday, I paired this one with a simple tank, sandals, and straw bag.
