One Room Challenge 2021: Week 7- The Home Stretch

I feel like I say this every week, but I REALLY cannot believe we are down to the final week of this season’s One Room Challenge! I have so much work to do still but I also am getting so excited by the progress and how everything is coming together! This week we completed a BIG part of the project, the wallpaper downstairs! Don’t get too excited though because you don’t get to see it until the final reveal! I’ll share a few fun sneak peeks though this week! I plan on doing a whole post after the challenge wraps up too about wallpaper tips and tricks I picked up this go around and the tools I recommend.

As mentioned in my week 5 post, I had to pivot a bit with my design plan and I’ll be having two different phases/reveals for this project. Phase 1 will be complete for the 8 week challenge and will include the wallpaper, stair runners, new lighting, gallery wall, new door, and a few more small things. Phase two will come after and will add on the opening of the wall between our living room and entryway and also opening up the closet/ area below the stairs and adding a built-in bench, and finally new paint on the trim and walls. All that to say, I will be working my hardest to have a beautiful, complete space for the big reveal next week but there will be a few odd things that are just a result of trying to work between phase 1 and phase 2 and not have to redo things twice!
