appetizer size for 6-10 people
8 ounces of whipped cream cheese
4 ounces sour cream
1 cup chopped turkey breast (I used Boar’s Head cracked pepper turkey )
1/2 cup canned chopped or diced tomatoes with green chiles
10-12 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
1 cup sharp shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Gruyere or Swiss cheese
1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 small tomato
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together your cream cheese, sour cream, turkey, canned tomatoes (drained), bacon, and both shredded cheeses (just cheddar and Gruyere/Swiss- hold Parmesan aside until the end), salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
Transfer mixture into an oven safe baking dish or a couple of ramekins and place in oven to bake until bubbly (20-30 minutes depending on the size of baking dish; if you divide them up into small dishes they will be closer to 15-20 min.).
Pull dip from oven, sprinkle the top with the Parmesan cheese, and increase the heat to broil. Add back into the oven for just a couple minutes (watching the entire time), to brown the top just a bit!
Remove from the oven. Top with a couple of thin tomato slices.
Serve with crackers, bread, chips, or veggies and enjoy!
