Our Experience with Fox Pest Control
As many of you all know, living and renovating historic homes comes with a unique set of challenges. One of ours has always been mice and pest control. Older homes often have lots of little nooks, crannies, and holes that are not easily identifiable and make perfect little entrances for pests of all kinds! Our home is on a very small basement/crawl space and also has an attic, which adds to these challenges. A few years after moving in, we started to notice mice droppings in several areas of our home. Since we free feed our dogs and often leave dog food out throughout the day, this was only adding to the attraction for the mice, but was also something we couldn’t really change or avoid. We have tried for years to get a grip on the mice issue, but even when we would catch a few and clean everything up, they always seemed to find their way back in again after a few months.
I was thrilled when Fox Pest Control reached out to me about trying out and reviewing their quarterly pest control services. The services cover prevention and treatment for pests of all kinds, from small insects, to larger rodents. I have been beyond pleased with the service and actually pleasantly surprised at how thorough they are with all the treatments and visits.

During our first treatment, we were able to meet the technician and talk through any specific issues/pests we were having. He walked through our entire home, identified any points of entry, and developed a plan to tackle the issue. They went above and beyond, places traps both inside and outside for the mice and making sure that they were also safe for my 2 year old son and small dogs. Almost instantly, our problems were solved and we haven’t seen a single mouse or dropping in our house since that first treatment visit. After years of an ongoing battle with the mice, I couldn’t believe it! The technician also made it very clear to let them know about any additional issues that arise or if his suggestions didn’t solve the problem, and they would come back out immediately!
In addition to treating for the mice and helping us identify and remove the points of entry, they also did a very thorough treatment for all spiders, bugs, and insects throughout my entire home. I HATE bugs, especially on my outdoor porches and living spaces, and if you’ve been following for a while, you know I go to great lengths to spray and clean these spaces multiple times a year for this reason. Perhaps my favorite part of the quarterly service, is that the technician actually walks around our entire property, removes all spider webs, and treats them at the source. I had no idea they would be so thorough on the OUTSIDE of my home as well as the inside- which is a huge plus for me! I am happy to say, I haven’t seen a single spider web since, and we usually have them all over throughout the spring and summer!
I am beyond pleased with Fox Pest Control’s service so far and having one less thing on my to-do this for our home.
