Our Fixer Upper Holiday Home Tour: Guest Bedroom

ALL PHOTOS BY SARAH E DUNN PHOTO + DESIGN

Our little guest bedroom is one of my favorite rooms to decorate for the holidays.  I love being able to pile on the pillows, throws, and make the space feel super cozy and inviting.  I haven't really gotten around to finalizing the decor in here and besides painting the walls and updating the light fixture, not much has changed since we moved in.  We still would like to sand up the painted floors to see if we could restore the wood underneath, but for now I am working with the brown floors (at least it's not carpet!).  Since the color scheme has stayed pretty neutral in here, I added some pops of pastel for Christmas; mostly because I just HAD to find somewhere to put my pink flocked tree!  Over the years I have collected a lot of little pastel vintage Christmasy trinkets and this seemed like the perfect room for them.  I mixed in lots of creamy knit pillows and gray tones too so that the pastels weren't too overpowering and juvenile feeling.  The room felt a little bare before but with all the Christmas decorations it instantly feels more cozy + complete- who wants to come stay?!
