Bright + Clean Guestroom with Cozy Sitting Area
I am loving this recent guest room makeover I designed and am really ready to move right in! I always love when there is space in a bedroom for a cozy seating area, and this one situated around the beautiful curved window is just perfect! We kept it light and neutral in here because this room will see a ton of different guests and I wanted it to be cozy and comfortable for everyone. We painted all the walls “Pure White” by Sherwin Williams to give the room a bright and clean backdrop. We also added a modern and chic ceiling fan where there was a small light fixture before. I especially love the mix of cozy textures and layers in this space- from the bedding, to the rug, linen slipcovered chairs, and pillows!
Shop the Design: Crisp, Modern, + Neutral Bedroom Design {McGee and Co. Look for Less}
One of my biggest design inspirations that I love to follow is Mcgee and Co. / Studio Mcgee. I love the simplicity and timeless feel of all their designs- super crisp and clean but also so warm. Recently I pulled together this design board for a client’s guest bedroom that reminded me of their designs, but definitely using more budget friendly pieces! I wanted to share this in case you might be looking to duplicate the same kind of high-end look for less! I shared shopping links to everything I used (and some extra similar items) below!
Minimal Spa-Like Master Bedroom Makeover
Here’s a sneak peek of a project I am currently finishing up. This super minimal and chic master bedroom makeover is giving me all the spa-like vibes! This client knew exactly what she wanted, which made my job super easy. I have never done such a simple, minimal design before but I really loved the process. One of the biggest challenges for the space was choosing the right white paint color that would coordinate with the existing trim color which was a little darker beige. Before all the walls in this house were a very pale yellow (very 90’s- check out the before photos below) and we are slowly changing them room by room. Keeping the trim color as-is is a huge money saver in the long run, especially since the actual paint was still in good condition.
