This maxi dress is definitely one of my favorite finds of the spring! I first spotted it on two of my favorite local bloggers: Shelby of Glitter + Gingham and Melissa of Memoir of a Preppy Mom. I fell in love with the flowy silhouette and gorgeous Anthropologie-style print! When you see this dress in person and all the beautiful details, you won't believe it's under $30 and from Target! It's such a steal and such great quality for the price, plus the silhouette is so flattering on a variety of body types. This dress fits pretty true to size but I would recommend sizing down if you are trying to decide between sizes! I've linked all my outfit details for you to shop including my dress, sandals, + straw purse above + below!Read More
It seems that all my outfits continue to be festival inspired this week. One huge festival trend that I am noticing: chokers! Chokers were all over Coachella fashion, whether it was more punk-rock styles, or bohemian, or simple and minimal. This is yet another 90's inspired trend that is resurfacing for spring and summer. I love how many gals were layering them with lots of longer necklaces for an all-out boho-chic look. I've been searching high and low for the perfect choker necklaces for the shop and was thrilled when I came across these perfect fanfare choker necklaces. These come in silver or gold and are exactly like many of the chokers I was seeing at Coachella over the past week. I paired mine with a pale pink peasant blouse from Forever 21, my favorite cut-off vintage shorts, and gladiator sandals. These chokers look perfect with everything from simple tees to an evening gown! I have a feeling it is going to be my go-to summer necklace!
Nothing screams summertime like a cute nautical print! Nautical truly never goes out of style and has been a popular trend in just about every decade. When a spotted this adorable sailboat jumper years ago while working at Street Scene Vintage, I knew it was made for me! Thank goodness it fit perfectly and still is one of my favorite vintage pieces years later. It has a little pocket on the front and shorts underneath that are hidden by the split skirt (Hurry- there is even an identical one in blue now for sale on Etsy!). Rompers are one of my favorite styles to wear in the summer because they always have that vintage flair and are the perfect casual piece for everyday wear. I topped off the look with my favorite lace-up sandals and some layered necklaces: a sweet dainty, pineapple charm necklace from local Stella Bella boutique and my monogram charm necklace from Stella and Dot.
Last week was spent at our family's beach house on Seabrook Island in South Carolina. As always I spend the majority of my time on the beach, magazine in hand, soaking up the sun. Nothing shows off a tan like a white dress and shimmery metallics, so I had been saving this Target maxi dress just for vacation! I love the unique silvery brushstroke pattern, creamy white fabric, and crochet panels that give it a bohemian vibe, and even better it's just under $30! I kept the metallic trend going with all my accessories. This fringed gold woven purse is also from Target, and I love how it combines boho with glam. I'm wearing my all-time favorite Sahara pendant necklace from Stella + Dot and stacked on some of my favorite bracelets and bangles for even more metallic bling. Finally, white nails just scream summer to me and look super chic with every outfit. I'm wearing Essie polish in Marshmallow, it's the perfect slightly sheer white polish that doesn't look too thick and cakey.
Memorial Day weekend calls for laid-back looks and all things red, white, and blue! I never miss an opportunity to dress for a holiday! Here are some of my outfits from this past weekend:
