Today I’m sharing my Christmas decor from my mudroom/laundry room this year. I have so much kitschy vintage Christmas decor I’ve collected over the years and this seemed like the perfect spot to display some of it. I love how the bright colors really pop against the black and white gingham wallpaper and black chalkboard wall. This space is really so cheerful and fun to walk into everyday and it makes doing laundry a little bit better too!Read More
Today I’m sharing the next space up on my holiday home tour, my entryway. This space is always one of my favorite to decorate because of all the unique nooks and crannies and character of this space. I love to go for a winter wonderland look in here with tons of flocked trees, garlands, and wreaths and lots of white and neutrals. This year I added this giant chalkboard on the back wall with some lyrics from one of my favorite Christmas movies, White Christmas, which seemed fitting for the space. I also love the extra light and glow that these Christmas lights add to this back corner, which is normally kind of dark and bland. I’ve linked all my favorite decor items from this space below that you can use to recreate this look!Read More
The living room is probably my favorite space of all this year and I really wish I could keep it this festive year and cozy year round. I tried something different this year and stuck to a very neutral color palette all around. I layered lots of textures- knits + furs, plenty of gold accents, with pops of evergreen. Changing out the rug in here to this cozy, tasseled Wayfair rug made all the difference! This rug is AMAZING and such a steal! The gold house lanterns from Target are another one of my favorite pieces in the room. Almost all my tree ornaments are from Hobby Lobby and since Christmas is pretty much constantly 50% off there, I was able to fill the entire tree for under $50. I really wanted a super full tree with lots of clustered, oversized ornaments and I opted for simple and small clear twinkle lights as a base. I don't think I will ever stray from the simple white + gold color scheme in here again for the holidays. Something about it just feels extra cozy and it looks so simple + chic. I loved my Christmas decor in the pantry so much last year, that I kept it the same for the most part this year. I think this crimson tinsel tree was made for this room and the chandelier full of vintage ornaments is likely something I will stick to year after year. I especially love how all the deep colors and metallics pop against the dark walls in here. I kept all the tree ornaments in the white, gold, black, and silver color family and added a few new styles (like those gorgeous black and white marbled ones!). I'm excited to do some baking + Christmas recipe prep in here over the next few days!
