Let’s talk about light fixtures, specifically flush mounts. Over the years, I feel like flush mounts have gotten a bad rap, mostly due to the horrendous “nipple lights” that were a staple in homes throughout the late 80’s-90’s (if you don’t know what I’m talking about check out the photo below and you’ll GET IT). But unless you live in a home with tall ceilings in every single space or can lighting throughout, chances are you will need a few flush mount light fixtures. The great news is that we now have a ton of great options for these that can look beautiful and add a little personality to your space. Since I live in an older home with lower ceilings in most rooms, I actually have a ton of flush mount light fixtures throughout and am always on the lookout for the best modern options!
