ORC Pantry Makeover- Week 5: The Great Cabinet Color Debate!
It’s Week 5 and time to finally settle on a cabinet color! I have been going back and forth with this decision from the beginning but cabinets are going in next week and must be painted so I have to make the final call (find more on my cabinet layout in last week’s post here)! My original inspo for this space had both dark and moody paint colors as well as these bright and fun, green and yellow colors. I ultimately settled on the brighter color scheme since I have so much vintage and retro dishware to display and I feel like it will flow better with my collections overall. Also it just makes me so happy to look at and I think that’s important!
Now the question is, yellow or green? I love them both so much but I do already have quite a bit of green in my home. Yellow would be very different and where else in my house am I going to get to do a fun statement color like yellow? I also feel like yellow is an up and coming color that’s about to be super popular again and I could be at the forefront of the trend. Either would look great with the wallpaper I am choosing (more on that later!) and they actually both look good together too, if I wanted to use the other color as an accent on the trim or walls.
