Reindeer Cheeseball

Does it get any better than bacon and cheese? Absolutely not! My favorite bacon cheeseball recipe gets a holiday makeover with this reindeer cheeseball! My mom always made this recipe for us around the holidays and it is has always been one of my favorite snacks. The original recipe comes from an old 80s church cookbook, but I have slowly changed it up over the years. It is so good with crackers, bagel chips, pretzels, or pita chips. With a couple of additions and arranging tricks, you can make this super festive for the holidays! Find out how below!

  • 1lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup mayo

  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion

  • 2 ounces slivered almonds

  • 6 slices bacon

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Pretzels, sliced black olives, and cranberry to make the reindeer face

  1. Slice your green onion.

  2. Cook your bacon, and let cool. Once cool, chop into small pieces.

  3. Combine cheese, green onion, bacon, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and almonds in a bowl.

  4. Stir in mayo until we’ll combined.

  5. Shape mixture until a ball and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until you’re ready to serve.

  6. When you’re ready to serve, remove plastic wrap, and make your reindeer face with olives for eyes, a cranberry for nose, and pretzels for antlers. Serve with pretzels, chips, bagel chips, pita, veggies, etc!
