Holiday Home Tour 2022: Vintage Cottage Christmas Entryway
The entryway is a really fun space to dress up for the holidays! I love to wrap my banisters with garland. This year I decided to layer a real boxwood garland (purchased at Hillenmeyer!) with an artificial garland I already had to create a fuller look. Next, I used some ribbon from my shop to add pops of color with the bows and with some of my favorite vintage ornaments mixed in. Lastly, I added some battery-operated lights to help light it up since there wasn’t an outlet nearby.
I continued to highlight the typical color scheme in this room by using some gold, blush, and jewel-toned ornaments on the Christmas tree. I also loved the gold bows I used for the tree and the star topper!
I decorated the sideboard with my white vintage nativity set and a tabletop Christmas tree. My favorite thing about this tree is that it is sparse enough to highlight the ornaments you use — and I used some of my favorite vintage handmade ones! I hung the gold wreath on the mirror and added the golden reindeer for additional pops of gold in this space! I even decorated my chandelier with some beaded gold garland and a few more vintage ornaments!
This is a lovely entry into our festive Christmas home and I always love mixing and matching the fun colors and patterns in this space for every season.
