3 Easter Floral Arrangements You Can Make With Items from the Grocery Store

I’ve put together three Easter Floral Arrangements that you can put together with items you can pick up during your weekly grocery trip! Each is simple and affordable but will make such a statement on any Easter table or around your home. These also would make great hosting gifts if you plan to attend any Easter events this season!

You can find all the details below, like the shopping lists + instructions for each one! Be sure to comment and let me know which one is your favorite!

Shopping List

-medium spring plant

-large wide jar or vase that is clear

-eggs (colored or plain- of your choice! You will need a lot if you have a big jar- at least 2 dozen)

-pedestal or small bowl for height (that will fit inside jar)

Instructions

1. Use a large clear vase or jar big wide enough to fit your plant with easter eggs around it.

2. Depending on your plant, you may need to add a bowl or something on the bottom to prop it up so it sticks out of the jar properly at the top.  I added a small bowl upside down for it to sit on.

3. I began by placing the bowl inside, then placing the eggs around the perimeter of the jar, alternating colors.

4. When I got it filled about 1/4 of the way up, I placed the plant inside.

5. Then I finished filling around the plant all the way up until the container of the plant was covered completely.

Shopping List

-carrots with stems (I find them at Whole Foods)- I needed two bunches

-medium-large glass vase (cylinder shape works best)

-small glass or skinny vase that will fit inside above vase and still have 2-3 inches of space all the way around

-florals of your choice (or you could also do a plant like the easter egg arrangement instead- you wouldn't need the second vase then!)

Instructions

1. Place the smaller vase filled with water in the center of the large vase.

2. Start placing your carrots around the perimeter and fill the space in between with carrots so they fill all the negative space and sit up tightly.  I had to double up on carrots in some areas.

3. Then arrange your flowers in the center vase as normal! You can make it as simple or elaborate as you like! Even just baby's breath and eucalyptus look cute!

4. The stems from the carrots become part of your arrangement! Just fluff and arrange them to sit evenly along the edges of the vase.

Shopping List

-1 head of cabbage

-any vase or vessel of your choice (it doesn't even have to be clear and can be any size!)

-ribbon or twine

-florals of your choice (or you could also do the plant again for this one- no vase required!)

Instructions

1. Carefully tear large leaves/sections from the outside of the cabbage.  You will want big pieces that look like full "leaves.”

2. Place these along the outer edge of your vase, layering them so they cover up the vase completely so you can't see any of the vases.  Wait to fill the vase with water, and you can turn it on its side to help with this.

3. When you have a good single layer, tie the ribbon around the outside center of the vase and cabbage to hold it on there.  You may need an extra set of hands to help you with this.  Tie it taught but leave a little space for adding in additional leaves as needed.

4. Fill in any blank spaces or pieces that fell off in that process by tucking them inside the ribbon or behind the other leaves all the way around until the vase is completely covered.

5. Fill your vase with water and arrange your flowers as you like!  Just like the carrot arrangement, you can make this as elaborate or simple as you like! Just tulips look adorable with this one!

6. If you decide to do a plant, even easier- just add the leaves to the outside of the planter you choose (it makes an adorable gift)!
