Beautiful Home Organizing Challenge: How To Organize Your Playroom and Shop My Favorite Items!

I’m one room down on my organizing challenge and want to share some of the tricks and items I used to organize the playroom! Read on to see some of my favorite organization products in action in the playroom, with links to shop! Some of my must-haves: cubbies, fabric totes with dry erase labels, clear stacking boxes, cute baskets, book ledges, clear acrylic toy dispensers, vintage trunks, and clear jars. You can see BEFORE photos here, and check out my FREE decorating club Facebook group to join in on the challenge and get behind the scene tips and updates.

Target has so many great colors and even prints of these collapsible fabric bins that I love! Even better, they have these little dry erase labels that slide right on top! These fit great on shelves, in cubbies, or just out on the floor!

I use ours to store:

  1. coloring books

  2. puzzles (I have 2 for these)

  3. small/medium sized toy cars/trucks

  4. stuffed animals

  5. play food (we don't have very much at the moment so it works)

I love using glass jars for these as they also double as cute shelf decor (I’ve linked several options at the top of this post in the “shop the look” section)! I of course keep these up high so they're out of reach and JW has to ask to use them. We haven't had any trouble with the glass but they also make tons of options in plastic/plexi too if you prefer. (I spray painted the metal tops of the some of mine to match our decor!)

Cars were my main item I needed storage solutions for! I did several different things throughout the room but these clear wall mount toy dispensers are my favorite! These work great for any small toys- drop them in the top and they dispense out the bottom! Would be a cute way to display any kind of collections too!

I also added several acrylic bins with lids to our wall of cubbies. These have helped keep the cubbies organized and I love using acrylic so that JW can see through the containers. I used these to corral all the small pieces, figurines, people, and parts that come with all his trucks, cars, and toy barn.

My go-to solution for large toy storage is VINTAGE TRUNKS! I have two in our playroom and they're so awesome for this purpose! Mine also double as little side tables/coffee tables which I love! There's so many different ways you can upcycle/redecorate these too to fit your decor!

Large baskets are also a great solution that double as cute decor and are so easy to throw toys inside for quick cleanup!
