The perfect pick-me-up for these dreary winter months is hot cocoa with alllll the toppings. This hot chocolate board would make the best snow day or treat for entertaining, no matter the occasion. There’s no baking or measuring required and you can put this dessert together quickly and easily. You can also customize this easily with a variety of different toppings depending on your preferences. There’s so many options out there, so definitely do feel like you have to use what I used! I’ve listed all the ingredients I used on mine and instructions for assembling like a pro below. Enjoy!

all amounts can be customized depending on your preferences/number of guests! There’s no measuring required! I typically just do about a handful of everything.

milk chocolate chips

white chocolate chips

sea salt

powdered sugar

mini marshmallows

jumbo marshmallows

yogurt covered pretzels

peppermint candy or peppermint sticks

shredded coconut

Oreo’s

Trader Joe’s mini peanut butter cups

Trader Joe’s vanilla meringues

Trader Joe’s hot cocoa dunkers

Trader Joe’s cocoa batons

Trader Joe’s chocolate covered marshmallows

chocolate sauce

caramel sauce

whipped cream

Trader Joe’s crepe wafer cookies

hot chocolate of your choice to accompany all these toppings (here is an easy crockpot version which is perfect for a crowd!)

  1. Start by placing the items that need bowls first (I used small coffee cups to hold things but you can use any kind of dish/bowl!): chocolate chips (both kinds), sea salt, powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce (my chocolate and caramel sauce came in glass jars so I just set those directly on the board, otherwise you would want to transfer to a bowl/dish). Evenly space the bowls throughout the board and add spoons to each for serving. I also added a cup of hot chocolate to the center just for presentation!

  2. Next place the largest items throughout the board: all the different cookies, jumbo marshmallows, + meringues. I had a lot of white items so I was sure to place those away from each other so the color was evenly dispersed throughout the board!

  3. Finish by filling in the remaining space with the smallest items: mini peanut butter cups, mini marshmallows, coconut, etc. I used the mini marshmallows throughout to fill in the edges and any remaining holes.

  4. Serve with plenty of hot chocolate and enjoy!
