Fun Halloween Snack Board for Kids

In case you didn’t already know, I’m really into Halloween over here. I’ve already shared two fun + festive Halloween snack boards but I couldn’t resist putting together one more! This one is made with kids in mind but I think anyone could enjoy it! It has a little bit of everything, from fruit and veggies, to snacks and desserts, and even hot dogs (my kind of board)! Everything has a fun little twist or addition to make it Halloween themed so that kids will love eating every little bit! Not only is this board super easy to put together but probably also my most fun board to date! You can even involve the little ones and they will love helping assemble the different ingredients and putting this together! Find all the ingredients and instructions for assembling below!

Happy Halloween!

Emily

mozzarella string cheese sticks

sharpie

mandarin oranges

celery

peanut butter

baby carrots

bananas

chocolate chips

candy eyeballs (I used these + these)

Trader Joe’s potato ghost + bats chips (these would also work!)

guacamole

white + dark chocolate pretzels

for PBJs: bread of choice, peanut butter, + jam of choice (I used Trader Joe’s Apple Cider Jam)

pretzel sticks

black grapes

hot dogs

package of crescent rolls

mustard

Pillsbury Halloween cookies

  1. Use your sharpie to draw ghost faces on the clear wrapper of the cheese sticks. Place on one corner of board in a small stack.

  2. Peel all oranges. Cut a small piece of celery and place inside center of orange to look like a stalk. Place oranges on opposite corner from cheese sticks.

  3. Cut celery into thin, bite size sticks. Spread a small line of peanut butter in the center of each then dot with multiple candy eyeballs. Place on board near oranges in a small stack.

  4. Empty guacamole into a small dish/bowl and place in center of board. Add spoon for scooping. Surround with the ghost potato chips.

  5. Place the baby carrots, chocolate covered pretzels, cookies, and grapes on the board each in their own small stack/grouping wherever holes need to be filled. Be sure to keep the colors balanced and space similar colors away from each other!

  6. Peel bananas and cut into small, long slivers. Add chocolate chips at top for eyes/mouth (to look like ghost). Place in a small stack on opposite side of cheese sticks.

  7. Open up crescent rolls. Pull off the dough for one crescent roll, form into a long roll with your hands/fingers. Loosely wrap a hot dog leaving plenty of space. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes.

  8. While hotdogs are baking, make the pb+j sandwiches by spreading peanut butter and the apple cider jam on 2 pieces of bread, then pressing together. Use a round cookie cutter or biscuit cutter on the sandwich to cut into a circle shape. Add candy eyeballs on top then press 4 pretzel sticks into each side (using peanut butter to hold them in). Place mini sandwiches on board.

  9. Remove hot dogs from oven and let cool. Dip candy eyeballs into a tiny bit of mustard and attach to top of hot dog. Place hotdog mummies on board.

  10. Add a few more candy eyeballs to the top of the stack of baby carrots.

  11. Serve immediately + enjoy!
