My Favorite Holiday DIYs

All you need is applesauce and cinnamon to make these super fragrant old fashioned cinnamon ornaments!  I love to use our Kentucky cookie cutters for them but you can make them in a variety of sizes and shapes!  These not only make cute ornaments but also are adorable gift tags or embellishments for gift wrapping!  I love how the make my whole house smell like Christmas both while baking and even after they are complete and hanging on the tree.  Find all the instructions + recipe here.

After finding the cutest pom-pom garland at Anthropologie a few years ago,  I wanted to find a way to make more on my own.  Come to find out pom-poms are super easy to make and you can customize them by creating different sizes and colors.   Even if you don't want to make a full garland, smaller pom-poms make adorable embellishments for gift wrapping and also cute ornaments!  Find the full step-by-step guide to making an Anthro-inspired pom-pom garland here.

This is another old-fashioned inspired DIY that will make your house smell so Christmasy and festive!  Oranges and cloves are the perfect combination for the ultimate holiday scent and they also add a perfect pop of color to your decor.   This is such a beautiful centerpiece to pull together easily before entertaining!  Find the full DIY guide here.

This post was originally for a fall scent but the ingredients work just as well for a holiday scent too!  These also make such a fun housewarming or hostess gift to bring to all of your holiday parties, or teacher gifts too!  If you want your entire house to smell like Christmas cheer, putting this on the stove is the easiest way to do it and so much more fragrant than a candle.  Find the step-by-step instructions here.
