Easy + Festive Crockpot Apple Cider

Happy Halloween everyone!  Today I'm cooking up the easiest and most delicious hot apple cider to hopefully keep us warm while waiting on trick or treaters tonight!  It's perfect for chilly fall evenings but also super festive leading into winter and the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays as well.  All you have to do is add all your ingredients to a crockpot and cook on low for a few hours!  By the time you are ready to serve, all the flavors have combined and it is perfectly warm and ready to drink.  This cider is full of fragrant spices and fresh sliced fruit too, so not only does it taste amazing but it also looks so pretty too!  It makes an ideal party beverage for a crowd especially since you can whip it up so quickly and easily.  Find all the ingredients and instructions for making your own below!

Emily

1 gallon of apple cider

1 teaspoon cloves

1/4 cup brown sugar

5-6 cinnamon sticks

1-2 small apples, sliced

4-5 slices each of fresh orange + pear

1. Add all ingredients to a crockpot.

2.  Cook on low for 2-4 hours.  Reduce to warm until you are ready to serve.

3.  If desired you can remove the cloves and cinnamon sticks before serving with a slotted spoon- I personally don't mind leaving them in there!

4. Enjoy!
