Crimson Crush

As soon as August comes to a close (and maybe even a little before), I switch into full-on fall mode.  It is my favorite time of year and I think we can all agree that fall is also the best time of year for fashion.  There's nothing better to me than early fall weather when it's just cool enough to wear a few fall layers but you can still mix and match with some lighter summer staples.  Fall boots paired with cozy sweaters and cut-off shorts are one of my favorite of those combinations.  Another element of autumn fashion that I love are all the beautiful colors + textures: jewel-tones, suede, rich neutrals, and chunky knits, are just a few of my favorites.  Sometimes a dose of deep autumn color is enough to carry an entire outfit, which is the case for this pre-fall look.  The crimson color of the top and skirt are very similar, but the textures really set them apart.  A touch of suede on the boots + purse make the whole outfit fall-ready.  You can shop the whole look + similar picks below!  Happy September!
