Weekend Wardrobe: The Kentucky Souvenir Tee
Sometimes a vintage tee is just too good to not share! Like the Kentucky souvenir horse tee that I found a few years back at a church yard sale. I squealed out loud when I uncovered it in the piles of clothes stacked on fold-out tables in the church rec room. I was so pleased with my 10 cent treasure which was already perfectly worn-in and faded, and I wore it constantly. I always got so many compliments on it and everyone wanted to know where they could get one. So when the wonderful folks at Kentucky Brewed Tees offered to print some custom tees for us, it was the first thing that came to my mind! They worked so hard to perfectly reproduce all the details of the original tee and I am so thrilled with how they turned out. They are available in three different styles that all take on a totally different look: classic baseball tees, retro ringer tees, and these super modern slouchy v-neck tees. This slouchy tee is my new FAVE t-shirt- it is SO comfy and soft and has the most flattering cut that you can dress up or down. I gave it a boho-chic spin by pairing it with some shorts and a printed kimono, my favorite fringe boots, vintage horse purse, and an armful of bangles. Shorts with boots is my favorite outfit combo for transitioning into fall. The easiest way to make this look work is by wearing a long-sleeve on the top and keeping the silhouette slouchier and less-fitted from the waist up. Which of the new tees is your favorite? I can't wait to see how you style them too!
