Holiday Gift Giving Ideas with Tuesday Morning

Gift giving season is here and one of my favorite parts of putting together special and memorable gifts for the holidays is the presentation! I love putting together curated and beautifully wrapped gift baskets for any occasion, but especially Christmas! One of my favorite stops for unique gifts and gift basket goodies (as well as home decor and unique finds) has always been Tuesday Morning. I love all their one-of-a-kind, high-quality, brand name items AND they have the best deals as all products are usually 20-60% off department store prices. If y’all have been following for a while you know that I love to “treasure hunt” for the most unique finds and get the most bang for my buck- and Tuesday Morning is the perfect place to do that!

I visited Tuesday Morning to put together two holiday-themed gift baskets for a couple people on my Christmas list and found SO many great items for them, including the baskets! I was able to put together two giant gift baskets for less than I would’ve paid for one at other stores! From pillows to throws, candles to soaps, accessories and seasonal decor to kitchenware- they have a little bit of everything! I decided to do one cozy Christmas gift basket including a Christmas throw blanket, candle, soaps, some yummy food items, mugs, and even a little Christmas tree! This basket would be perfect for a teacher’s gift, neighbor, co-worker, family member, or just about anyone on your list!

I also was inspired by all the cute baking and serving ware I saw at my local store, so the second basket I put together was a fun “Cookies for Santa” baking basket! I geared this one more towards little ones, since I found this adorable bunny shaped basket (they actually had several different kinds of cute animal baskets!). This basket includes everything you need for an afternoon of Christmas cookie baking: a whisk, measuring spoons, spatula, baking sheet, Cookies for Santa decorative platter, cookie cutter galore, cookie stamps, cookie jar, and oven mitt! Again this gift would be adorable for a teacher, neighbor, cousin, child, or classmate!

If you’re ready to get started putting together your own unique gift basket for the holidays head to Tuesday Morning for the best variety of items at the best prices! • Choose a basket that isn’t super deep and plenty big to hold all your items (but not too big that it has a lot of empty space/holes)

  • Stuff the bottom of the basket with paper shreds, tissue, or paper to prop up your items and make them more visible as well as providing a nice base

  • Choose items to fill the basket that are a variety of different sizes and try to stick with a general color theme so everything flows together.

  • Place the largest items in the back first and then layer in front with smaller items (use the smallest items to fill in at the end). Go ahead and take most items out of packages too!

  • I added battery-powered twinkle lights (also found at Tuesday Morning) for a fun little addition that is very Christmasy and makes the whole basket feel magical! You could also add a cute ribbon, bow, gift tag, or embellishment.
