Traditional + Classic Bedroom Design + Cozy Bed-Making Tips!
One of my favorite rooms to refresh, whether in my own home or for a client, is the bedroom! I recently transformed this client’s guest bedroom and they requested a classic and traditional look. I loved putting this bedding collection together and completing the space with some vintage accessories and touches. This bedroom will be beautiful and cozy for years to come! Shop the look below and check out some of my top tips for creating a cozy bed!
Tip 1: To get a Pottery Barn comforter look - double stuff your duvet with two down comforters (you can totally use the cheaper ones here if you are trying to stay within a budget and don’t want to splurge on the move luxurious ones!)
Tip 2: You want your Euro pillows to be large enough to create a complete and expensive-looking bed (no matter the actual price!) These pillows are typically the ones that we use on the back row, leaning against the bed! You will want to aim for at least 24-30 inches (ideally 26-28!). Sometimes, at places like Target, these pillows may be called “oversized pillows,” just in case your search for “Euro” doesn’t pull much up! If you are getting an insert for these, I recommend getting a down insert for a fuller look, and be sure your insert is always at least 2 inches bigger than the pillow cover!

Another great tip for creating a cozy bedroom is placing a dresser into your closet! This is a great way to maximize your space while adding extra drawers where they are needed. We styled the dresser in the guest bedroom closet at the client's request, and I love how it turned out!
