Board + Batten Narrow Mudroom Makeover

I firmly believe that every space in your house should reflect your style and personality - even the mudroom. We wanted to help create a beautiful and functional space for this client, and I think we nailed it!

We added some board and batten all the way around the room to add instant character and went with the paint color Crownsville Gray (Benjamin Moore), which despite the name, is a mid-tone olive green (You can find all my favorite green paint colors here)! This color gave the traditional and classic olive tones we sought in this space (we also used it on the trim and doors!) We also added some natural wood planks to the ceiling and new light fixtures to elevate the space and add even more character!

To make this space more functional, we added a lot of hooks to catch coats, backpacks, or purses, even putting some higher for the longer pieces. Next to the door, we added a couple of hanging baskets, perfect for mail or keys. We also added a small narrow bench and some baskets for shoes for catch-all items!

To add beauty, we included a floating shelf to house all the small vintage trinkets and art we curated for this installation!
