Cook Once, Eat All Week: Taco Ground Beef

This post is sponsored by the Kentucky Beef Council

We eat a ton of beef in our house and it’s definitely my husband’s favorite food. Thankfully it is also the easiest ingredient to get the MOST recipes out of to feed a family on a budget! Today I’m sharing how to put together a whole week of meals with one staple recipe: my taco ground beef. Make a big batch of this and you can have burrito bowls, tacos, nachos, salads, casseroles, and more! You can also freeze this if you want to spread out your taco inspired recipes and not eat them all in the same short week. I’m listing my favorite recipes to use this in below, but really the possibilities are endless! Find all the ingredients and instructions for making this delicous ground beef below!

the following amounts will make plenty to season 2-3 pounds of ground beef. I recommend doubling it up so you can go ahead and fill a small jar or container with this seasoning and use it often!

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp fresh black pepper

  1. Mix all ingredients well and store in a jar or small container!

  2. Cook/brown your ground beef on medium heat and drain excess fat (I recommend 85/15 fat content for these recipes!).

  3. Reduce heat to simmer. Add your seasoning to your ground beef after browning. Adjust the amount to your liking (you may want to add more/less depending on how much flavor you want!).

  4. Stir well to combine.

  5. Enjoy!
