Our Fixer Upper: Playroom Makeover Progress

Another project we have been working on lately at home is transforming this extra room on our main floor into a playroom for JW! It’s still a work in progress but SO much better than before- scroll down to see some scary before photos . This is one of the only rooms we didn’t touch AT ALL during our renovation (not even paint) because we really didn’t have a use for it at the time. It makes a perfect playroom because it’s on our main floor right off the entry and living room but still completely separated and able to be hidden when messy (which is always). I have a lot of fun projects in mind to make it even better but just wanted to share the progress so far.

Paint made the biggest difference (all Alabaster by Sherwin Williams; one of my favorite soft whites and I’m really into doing trim, ceiling, and walls all the same color lately). I also covered the fireplace with a vintage chalkboard I had (just happened to be the PERFECT size) and I drew a little fireplace art on there. The rug is super affordable and soft and you can find it here. Take a look at the before and after of the space below and shop some of the items I’ve used so far! Stay tuned for more updates of this space!

xoxo
