Christmas Tree Antipasto Board

What’s more festive (and delicious) than a Christmas tree antipasto platter? It’s so quick and easy to put together and perfect for your holiday entertaining! I’m listing all the ingredients and instructions below but you can totally customize this one with lots of different ingredients! I choose a couple salamis, 3 cheeses, olives, and peppers and layered into a Christmas tree shape! Finish with some fresh thyme and rosemary spread throughout for garnish and use a star cookie cutter to cut out a piece of cheese for the top! Find everything you need to know about putting this together below!

Emily

2 salamis/meats of your choice (I chose Soppressata and Genoa salami), sliced

2-3 cheese of your choice (cut into cubes)

1 jar of kalamata olives

1 jar of mixed whole sweet peppers

1 jar of roasted red peppers

optional: 1 jar of Giardiniera of your choice (I used pickled spicy cauliflower)

fresh thyme for garnish

fresh rosemary for garnish

assorted crackers/bread

optional: stone ground mustard

optional: jam/preserves or your choice (I used fig)

  1. On a large serving platter or board, create the bottom layer of the tree with one long thin layer of salami.

  2. Next I added the pickled giardiniera layer, making it just slighter shorter on each side than the bottom layer.

  3. Repeat the process with olive, then cheese, then sweet peppers, another cheese, salami, red peppers, and finally salami again.

  4. Create the top of the tree by using a few sprigs of rosemary and a star cheese cutout (I just used a star cookie cutter and an extra piece of cheese.

  5. Garnish the entire “tree” by adding sprigs of thyme throughout, especially in any holes.

  6. Use a cracker to create the tree trunk!

  7. Optional: add a couple of dipping/sauce options to your board. Fill small bowls/dishes with some mustard and preserves (you could also do something like olive oil and balsamic!). Add a spoon/.knife for spreading.

  8. Serve with a big bowl/platter of sliced bread and crackers!
